Producer/Director:

Kelsey Marsh
A MFA graduate of American University, Kelsey Janelle Marsh is utilizing her film and web design expertise to create media for social justice advocacy.

 

In 2009 she graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications - Radio/TV (emphasis in production) and Political Science. After graduating, Kelsey accepted her invitation to serve in the Peace Corps working as both a community health and economic development volunteer and primary resource teacher in the Kingdom of Lesotho. Her experience abroad reaffirmed her desire to produce documentaries highlighting human rights and social injustice.

 

Her MFA graduate thesis film NonCritical, about America’s ambivalence toward finding black missing adults, has screened at six festivals, and won two awards including the Jury Choice award at the 2015 Diversity in Cannes showcase. The film is currently online at KweliTV.com, an interactive streaming platform exclusively for the global black community.

 

Kelsey is currently an Associate Producer/Assistant Editor at Discovery Studios.

 

Co-Producer/Director of Photography:

Gus Soudah

A director of photography for 15 years, Gus has shot dozens of digital media projects -  independent films, documentaries and music videos. He has traveled around the world shooting for a variety of production companies, including Vice TV, People’s Television, DC Visionaries and more.     

 

In 2015, Gus was the director of photography for the feature documentary Victorious, as well as two independent short films. His passion for independent film, crafting an image that tells of a deeper, complex narrative was cemented.

 

Gus is recognized for hand held camera work, a steady mindset and team player. Gus is currently a member of the Washington, D.C. video collective The Lookout.
